I became a fan when ‘Paul’s Boutique’ was released in 1989 and to think that the music press wrote them off after ‘License to Ill’ was released. Yes, they’re still going strong after releasing a new album last year called ‘Hot Sauce Committee Part 2’.
This particular track is the 3rd single released from the album ‘To the 5 Boroughs’ (which is dedicated to the 5 boroughs of New York affected by the terrorist attacks of 911).
My remix is inspired from the heavy Soul Assassins sound, and it gives the remix a darker feel by using a heavy looped sample taken from Portishead, with a sample taken from The Neptunes worked over the top for the bridge.
