This remix took me on a bit of a deviation from the hip hop remix, in that I wanted to have a song based remix on the album (along with my remix of Beats International’s Dub Be Good To Me).
I decided to use a Queen Latifah track taken from the soundtrack to the movie “What's The Worst That Could Happen”, and includes collaboration with Sara Jane.
The track was released in 2001 as a 12” single AA release with a Snoop Dogg track included.
If you take some time out, take a look over Queen Latifah’s resume you will be amazed at some of the work she has accomplished over the last 20 years, including actress in both movies and TV, jazz singer, rapper, and she has been nominated for awards in all her careers.
Also the fact that Orbital remixed her back in the 90’s (I still can’t get my hands on Orbital’s version) inspired me to remix a Queen Latifah track.
